Creativity and innovation manifested a whirlwind of excitement in Katy, focusing on nothing other than…trash cans! Project Paint-A-Can inspired citizens and organizations in Katy to design and paint cans to be entered in a contest on the eve of the 2007 Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off. More than 200 “can fans” attended the judging where informational brochures were handed out regarding the Trash-Off, Arbor Day Celebration, and Household Hazard Waste Day. These incredible works of art are on a traveling tour around the city, before finding permanent homes in parks and the downtown area.
