GCAA AWARDS APPLICATION CORRECTION
Please note that there is a correction to the 2008 Governor’s Community Achievement Awards (GCAA) application regarding eligibility. The application incorrectly states that first, second, and third place winners of the GCAA from 2005-06 and 2006-07 are not eligible for the First Place Landscape Prize. The correct information for eligibility is that second and third place winners ARE eligible for both the First Place Landscape Prize as well as Second or Third Place Recognition. First place winners from 2005-06 and 2006-07 are eligible for the Award of Excellence and Sustained Excellence, but not First, Second, or Third Place.
HELP JUDGE THE GCAA & KTB AWARDS!
KTB is looking for volunteers to help judge the 2008 GCAA & KTB Awards on Thursday, March 27 (GCAA) and Friday, March 28 (KTB). If you are interested in applying to be a judge, please complete the enclosed information sheet and return to the Keep Texas Beautiful office by March 7; individuals selected as judges will be notified by Friday, March 14. Please note, communities submitting award applications are not permitted to judge their own categories.
IMPORTANT FORMS COMING SOON
The affiliate dues notices and Annual Report forms will be going out the week of January 15. The dues and Annual Report are due March 1 ; the affiliate survey and recognition form are due March 31. The Annual Report and survey will once again be available online. Call
1-800-CLEAN-TX with any questions.
