From global warming to gas mileage, and carbon footprints to corporate green campaigns, the drive to live sustainably is up on us. As in every opportunity, there are both dangers and possibilities we face that did not exist even a few years ago. In his “Leading Green” presentation, John Schuster explores the real opportunities we have to live in harmony with green principles as companies, citizens, and communities. John was there for the first Earth Day, was a leader at the EPA for seven years, and is green through and through. His honest and inspiring presentation will help you re-imagine your “green” opportunities.
Come learn about the nation’s most successful and comprehensive urban greening program with Mike Groman of Philadelphia Green. As a part of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, Philadelphia Green has supported the development and ongoing care of community gardens, neighborhood parks, and high-profile public green spaces. Groman will discuss how a partnership of neighborhood residents, community organizations, and city agencies uses greening as a community-building tool. This wonderful talk will shed light on how you can educate and empower others to make their city a more attractive and livable place.
Supervisor to one of the most aggressive police graffiti task forces in the nation, Sergeant Dwight Waldo is a nationally renowned graffiti expert who has helped establish more than 200 graffiti programs for law-enforcement agencies.
