Keep Texas Beautiful Announces Environmental Award Winners

( Austin, Texas) – Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB), a leading Texas grassroots community improvement and environmental organization, announced today the winners in nine categories that honor efforts in enhancing their communities and protecting the Texas environment.
The Keep Texas Beautiful Awards recognize deserving youth, schools, senior citizens, community groups and individuals, civic organizations, law enforcement officials, and media and government entities for their commitment to litter prevention and cleanup, illegal dumping enforcement, the education and publicity of environmental issues, and community beautification.
“We are continually amazed by the outstanding work that is being done each year,” said Joanne Weik, KTB President . “Each application we receive is an inspiration to KTB. The work these youth, educators, organizations , businesses and individuals do sets a great example for every Texan to follow.”
The annual awards will be presented during the 38 th Annual KTB Conference June 27-30 at the Renaissance Houston Hotel Greenway Plaza. Information about the winners and the conference is available on the KTB website at www.ktb.org.
