KTB
Programs include:
- Keep
America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup (GAC)
is the nation’s largest community improvement effort,
held March through May each year.
- The
Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off is Texas’ signature event of the GAC. Volunteers throughout the
state remove litter from roadsides, city parks, neighborhoods,
and waterways during this annual event organized by the
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and KTB.
- The
Texas Waterway Cleanup Program , a partnership between
Keep Texas Beautiful and the Texas Commission on Environmental
Quality (TCEQ), aims to improve and maintain the quality
of surface water through litter cleanups and education.
- Illegal
Dumping Education and Enforcement initiatives include
seminars and conferences, an illegal dumping enforcement
toolkit, and forming a statewide task force to share information,
discuss the issue and develop solutions.
- The
Annual KTB Conference is one of the premiere environmental
conferences in the state. Attendance has grown by leaps
and bounds in the last few years, as KTB has offered specialized
trainings for affiliates, formal and informal educators,
and law and code enforcement officers.
