“Though the word beautification makes the concept sound merely cosmetic, it involves much more: clean water, clean air, clean roadsides, safe waste disposal and preservation of valued old landmarks as well as great parks and wilderness areas. To me … beautification means our total concern for the physical and human quality we pass on to our children and the future.”

- Lady Bird Johnson

DEADLINE - Waste Management Recycle Often, Recycle Right Grant

    12-20-2018 12:00 am

Keep Texas Beautiful, in partnership with Waste Management, is proud to announce the 2018 Waste Management Recycle Often, Recycle Right (RORR) Grant. Waste Management developed the Recycle Often, Recycle Right recycling education program based on national best practices to increase recycling and decrease contamination. More information can be found at

The RORR Grant will provide affiliate communities with $500 - $1,500 to purchase recycling bins to either start a new recycling program (community, office, or school) or add to an existing recycling program. Affiliates applying for the grant should already have a recycling plan in place, through either an existing recycling program or plans with a waste hauler or local government to implement a new recycling program. Along with grant money to purchase bins, KTB will also provide educational materials through Waste Management’s Recycle Often, Recycle Right campaign, as well as technical assistance in placing bins or educating recyclers.

Application due to KTB by Thursday, December 20 at 5 p.m. CST.
