The thirteenth edition Keep Texas Beautiful ornament features Texas’ official state shrubs, the Crape Myrtle and the Texas Purple Sage.
Widely revered as a versatile and adaptable plant, the Crape Myrtle is one of the most beloved landscape plants in the South. Texans’ long-time admiration for the Crape Myrtle influenced legislators in 1997 to designate her as the official State Shrub of Texas. Crape myrtles are also available in tree selections. Although not native to Texas, the hardy Crape Myrtle flourishes in all regions of the state, bolstering civic pride among residents, enhancing communities and encouraging tourism.
All ornament sales will be discontinued after August 31, 2019.
