We are excited to announce next year's conference in Rockwall/Dallas June 18-20, 2019.
Keep Texas Beautiful is a network of dedicated Texans working together to make our state the best place to live, work and play. We equip local partners and affiliates with the tools they need to build vibrant, engaged communities. Founded in 1967, Keep Texas Beautiful has more than 50 years of experience deploying resources for local clean-up, recycling and youth engagement efforts. Everything we do is focused on mobilizing volunteers to take action across the state. What if we focused that action on building better places?
At this year’s conference, we’re Navigating a Changing Texas. From the tide of youth trends, rapid new technology and diversifying audiences and space, to the timely and vast ocean of knowledge about our state waters, we aim to focus on both the preservation and growth happening across our state. Join us at this year’s annual conference – we’re excited to navigate Texas waters with you.

Affiliate Conference Scholarship
Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) has established a needs-based scholarship to help affiliates attend the KTB Annual Conference, when they would otherwise be unable. KTB strongly supports and encourages the professional development of affiliate staff, leadership and volunteers and believes attending the Annual Conference encourages membership and participation in our affiliate program, thereby helping us achieve our vision to make Texas the cleanest, most beautiful state in the nation. This year, each scholarship will provide two free full conference registrations.
Congratulations to our scholarship recipients, Keep Haskell Beautiful and Keep Haltom City Beautiful.

Keynote | I.L.W.I.I.F.M. “Inclusive Leadership: What’s In It For Me?”
It is estimated by the year 2040, the U.S. will become a majority, minority nation which means for the first time in history, our country's population and demographics will be completely different. Believe it or not, this transition has already occurred in Texas and nine other states. Striving to embrace diversity and inclusion in our communities, schools and workplaces, we frequently fail to understand what exactly this looks like; and while most organizations as well as leaders now believe, that having a diverse and inclusive culture is critical to successful performance and outcomes, they don't always know how to achieve this goal. MiShon is going to share with the audience some powerful nuggets of wisdom that will not only, help create an inclusive environment, but understand why it matters here in Texas and what's in it for them.

Affiliate Networking Event
The Affiliate Networking Event will take place the evening before our conference begins on Monday, June 17 from 7 - 9 p.m. This event is now sold out.
Join Keep Texas Beautiful for an Affiliate Coordinator networking event at our sunset dessert cruise. You will be able to say hello, share ideas and swap stories over the past year with members from across the state!
This coordinator-focused after-dinner outing will take place on Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall. We will be sailing across the lake via a sunset cruise on the Rockwall Seawolf. Attendees will board the sailboat at 7 p.m. from the conference hotel and return shortly after sunset at 9 p.m.
Wear your KTB affiliate shirt (or new KTB gear) and join fellow affiliates!
Not an affiliate coordinator? Once capacity for this event is filled, we will allow registration via waitlist for this networking event.
What kind of boat is Seawolf/what are we sailing on?
Seawolf is a 40 foot long by 25 foot wide sailing catamaran built of beautiful Spanish cedar. Seawolf ‘s season is from April to October.
Where is Seawolf?
Seawolf sails out of the Harbor on the eastern shore of Lake Ray Hubbard, the best sailing waters of the Dallas area. For a cruise, Seawolf is docked at the lighthouse on the waterside of the Hilton Hotel in Rockwall. The street address of the Hilton Hotel is 2055 Summer Lee Drive, Rockwall, Texas, 75032.
Are there restrooms on board?
Yes, the boat has an electric flushing toilet. There is also room to change clothes.
What if I get thirsty aboard Seawolf?
We offer complimentary, cold, water on Seawolf.
Is smoking allowed aboard the boat?
No, in consideration of other guests as well as the ash could burn the finish on the beautiful wood hulls of Seawolf.
What about wheel chairs?
Standard wheelchairs and walkers are OK; motorized chairs are not (too heavy for the boat).
Do you have Life Jackets on board?
We have life-jackets on board. We have an assortment of 100 children, and adult life jackets.
What kind of shoes should I wear?
Please wear shoes with soft rubber soles and low heels. If you wear high heels, leather soles, or muddy shoes, be ready to take them off as you board the boat. High heels are not good, because the boat wobbles in waves and you can break your ankle. Leather sole shoes are slippery and you can slip and fall.
Can I steer the boat and help sail?
We encourage our guests to get their picture taken while steering Seawolf! The crew loves it when guests pitch in and help to set sail. Just ask!

This is a cash bar event. KTB will provide appetizers.
